And livin' near the beach now, yo!

So I'm back from Asia. The trip was fun but I was glad to be home as well. Two weeks can seem like a long time to not have your own bed and stuff. I've been back for a while now but we moved shortly after getting in. I now live over on the Bainbridge side and I LOOOOVE it. Traffic isn't as bad, the atmosphere is very relaxed...Now all we have to do is build our dream house and we'll be set. Check out my gallery for updated designs. :-)

A little about my trip:

The plane rides were actually, dare I say, pretty nice? Cathay Pacific has won some awards for their service and what not, I believe. I had no doubt believing that when we traveled with them. Japan Airlines was also quite nice, I really liked riding in the upper level of their 747! It was super quiet up there.

-Singapore was fun but was pretty similar to the U.S... In fact, all the stores and restaurants were pretty much the same. There were just a few extra Chinese restaurants here and there. The zoo's and bird park were really fun though; if anyone ever visits there, be sure to check out the night safari. Especially the fire dancers!

-Japan was one of the most interesting places I've ever been. Kyoto was very pretty, and had so much history. I think my favorite thing was Fushimi Inari Taisha. The Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden was amazing as well. I just wish we would have been there during the cherry blossoms! Robby and I happened to be in Japan at just the right time for the Sanja Matsuri and that was simply awesome. We each got a decorative samurai sword at Nakamise-dōri near Senso-ji as reminders of the experience. I'll be adding more photos from both Kyoto and Tokyo over the next few days, so stay tuned.

Two days ago was Robby's birthday. I made him brownies (pretend I said cake, okay?) and put funny candles on top. It was cute.
